Not from that angle!  There is a great angle from the freeway interchange thing.
It was wise to give us the chance to drive around this location ;D.

They took the time to model that many buildings, they want us to see them all.  lol.  They did the same with Fort Worth and Texas (and it also helps the freeways actually go around the downtown areas). ;D

It seems like everywhere you go there are freeways in Texas.  They also have these interesting off and on ramps to the freeway that are parallel to the freeway itself.  They are like service roads that straddle the freeway.  Haven't seen those before... must be a southern thing.

Okay, Texas has moved into my top five.  It's too big and too detailed not to include.

I just entered not Texas via New Mexico. :D
That makes sense since it is the only way to get in currently.
By the way, I like how the entrance signs on the TX-NM border look — not just a small yellow sign with peppers 8).

Despite my map becomes more and more yellow, the big portion of deliveries happen at nighttime, so not every site is noticed by me, and only markings on the map tell me to turn on the photo mode and look around. Still no signs of Strickland Propane... or Arlen water tank :(.
Some photo trophies are close to the road (like Houston center, that tower in San Antonio is visible from every direction), but some of them make me wish to have more zoomy camera ;D.

Also, unlike Washington or Idaho, I see a lot of water bodies in Texas with not very clean water .

Due to longer distance between edges of the map, several times my hired drivers brought me 60-70k dollars for one ride. I never had a hired driver with the maximum level — I wonder how much money they can bring.

I finished the WoT event!!! I will keep helping reach the community goal!

I keep seeing most of the state at night or through FOG and rain.  My entire visit to Dallas was fog and rain.  So much for that, lol.  I did take a photo to get an achievement.

You can still zoom your camera with a mouse wheel.

The non-clear water is due to sediment and dirt being moved along by the river as opposed to it being unhealthy.  I can confirm that.

Finished WoT event with a trip to the town of Lufkin.  Never heard of it before until now.

I have entered Eastern Texas and I am sad to see, they kept all the wrong tree types.  The spurce/evergree/pine tree's are using are the same ones they used in Washington and Oregon and would be nowhere near Texas.  Texas is coniferous trees and some small shore pine.  Not the big source trees they have in-game.  This is particularly apparent around Longview and Tyler, Texas.

Oh, I didn't notice that on the commands panel.
So, apparently, the FOV adjustment was replaced by the mouse wheel zoom.

Just completed my World of Trucks personal goal!! I am really liking this DLC.

Uh oh.  I haven't been there yet.

Next blog posts we will start seeing Balkan stuff I assume.  It has been awhile.

Maybe a bit later some Oklahoma. We will be going from the biggest state they've made to the smallest in Oklahoma.

Today, if more correct.
That short video teaser is still only on the Steam page.

Their development into Oklahoma is way closer to complete than starting.
They are almost ahead two states from what we are seeing, plus there is more to come of Texas.
I am surprised we didn't get an ETS2 blog post next.

I am loving this Texas DLC.  The totally different highways and freeway interchanges reminds me of how different Spain was to everything in ETS2.  This is a lot of fun!

As I remember, there was even a speculation about making next DLCs as packs of two-three states. Releasing the smallest map DLC right after the largest is a funny idea ;D.

Well, many will say some of the upcoming states are BORING... but I mean... Wyoming was technically a boring state and I absolutely loved it.  The difference now is some of these "boring" states keep getting smaller and smaller.

The popular opinion I keep seeing is combine North and South Dakota as one DLC... but then I say, why?  They releases Wyoming, supposedly the most boring states of all with no issue. ;D

West Balkans info would be appreciated too.  I know the ATS team is way further ahead on their developments, but ETS2 has been pretty much nonexistent for a year minus some little DLCs.  It's map time.  HoR... with Russia pulling back... is that a possibility this Christmas?  (Yes, I am starting a rumor)
