By the way, since I didn’t leave Texas further than neighbour NM cities, I think I need to make at least one long ride from Galveston or Corpus Christi to one of WA coastal cities ;D.

Also, if you have the Christmas Paint Job Pack DLC, it was updated today.

So... turns out the good deliveries from WA ports to TX ports are not so easy to find .

This is the longest ride I made in ATS, but it’s not super profitable. If I didn’t take the task to make coast-to-coast ride, there were several orders with 300+ k$, and with the smaller distance ;D.
At least, now the sixth level of Long Distance skill got the real meaning — after 6,5 years since the game release, the player finally can make a delivery of that distance .

I was able to get a $200,000 price from Artesia, NM to Aberdeen, WA.  I consider that good.  :)

I only do external contracts anyways, so I am not sure what the normal game gives for deliveries.

We've all probably spent a good amount of time in the Texas DLC.  Do you all have a favorite town and least favorite town so far?   Maybe a road or access area you don't like?

I personally am not a fan of there big use of on and off ramps that lead to collector roads alongside the freeway.  I find it very annoying because it's difficult to get to the other side of the freeway if you have a depot on the other side.  Also if you miss your exit off or onto the freeway, that stinks as well.

I also find the massive freeway interchanges very confusing because there are so many roads and routes, it becomes overwhelming and I often mess up.  lol.  I'm not saying I don't like what SCS has made, far from it.  It's incredible!  I'm just saying I am not a fan of these types of interchanges in-game and in real life probably too. ;D

I am not a fan of driving into San Angelo for some reason.  I like the small road and how they designed it, but I don't like how far from the freeway it is, lol.  I'm so conflicted.

Laredo has too much parallel lanes per one square mile ;D, but, I also need to mention another funny location on south from Dallas, where the wall at the weigh station ends too far behind the right turn, so, if you are called to weight control, you need to move back in wrong direction or make a full circle to get into that GARC base.

Due to big amount of content, I can say I still didn’t learn the map good enough, but... Galveston is my love at first sight ;D. Corpus Christi, another coastal city, also has a lot of cool things like aircraft carrier or bridge construction site.
Even if the interchanges can be tricky, I still hate them not as much as small two-lane roundabouts from old ETS countries .

Laredo is my least favorite area so far.  It's too many highways and too spread out for my liking.

I haven't picked a favorite yet, because I am still learning and memorizing the area.

I remember those very very tight entrances onto motorways in old ETS2 where the guardrail was SO close to the road, you could barely turn if you messed up. ;D  Texas' massive freeways and massive avenues is a far cry from that.

Easily it is Laredo.  I think I even posted that earlier.  My least favorite place to go to so far.  I like the Gulf Coast locations. :)

I think Fort Stockton is the ugliest place I've seen, but my least favorite to drive to is Laredo or Lufkin!  Both 'L' cities!  LOSER cities because of their HORRIBLE road networks and how spread out everything is, lol!

The only place I haven't visited yet is Dalhart.  I never get any deliveries to go there.

Well done!  I still have a few more since I am only doing 1,000 miles or more per delivery for this event. ;D  Why must I put such challenge on myself?  I have been keeping it fresh by doing a few deliveries in ATS, then ETS2, and bouncing back and forth like that.  Always new scenery to see.

We never got the MAN TGX they promised earlier in the year.

Oh well.  We had a decent amount of things this year. :)  Just means more stuff next year.

I am happy they have shown the gas tank trailers on their stream.
But, the plans to add WS 5700 look weird since the game already has its direct successor, although I admit that older truck looks great too.

They are planning to add the WS 5700?  I haven't heard this.  I have wished for this truck.

I'm surprised the MAN TGX is causing them delays, but they really like to model the interiors with more precision.

I need to found that stream and watch it myself, but the digest I have seen told there were talkings about older WS.
