It's really fun to see the game screenshot made by phone. It would look even cooler if you had a CRT monitor.
The color looks nice, but I would like to see with it more black details instead of cromed ones. But, unlike Anthem and the successor, this truck has only chrome, even on bumper.

Lol!  It was actually easier for me to snap with my phone instead of take a Steam screenshot and upload it.

CRT monitor.... I miss those!  I actually occasionally see them on sale in thrift stores.  I did buy a 1970s alarm clock that was covered in fake wood grain and it works!  It has red LCD numbers.  Very cool. ;D

The last time I used the old 17" CRT Philips (BTW, do you remember that number was true only for the glass part, while the picture itself was only 15.6 inches) was about ten years ago, when I took it from the garage for several hours just to play Fallout on the authentic device... and after that, the delivery has brought my new fridge and took the old monitor and some other stuff waiting to be thrown away.  ;D
It would be funny to play the *TS on a monitor which is just slightly bigger than my steering wheel and has definitely no place for real mirrors in its FOV.

I do remember how they advertised the size, only for the actual screen to be smaller than the FULL CRT. ;D Lol!  That old tech.  I enjoyed your memories.

It's a good truck!  I've driven it one 1,100 mile trip and I must say, the 300 gallon tank of fuel is awesome.  Less stops, more trucking!

I agree that leaving new Cascadia and 57X with only 240 gallons maximum is not cool. ;D
As with DAF 2021, we have newer trucks which (for now) have less options than older ones. This makes 5700XE more attractive than its successor ;D. Well, before some big upgrade (like 49X had) will probably be made.
Now the question is about what will happen first: the next truck (I doubt it will be added less in a half of a year) or the announced tuning pack?
Also, I wonder, is it possible to install the classic dashboard instead of those iPads? Since the 389 has the screen instead of gauges for the last two production years, I am not surprised if there are some hardcore fans who would like to buy a fresh truck and make the interior look like '80s product... Like the round headlamps from 351 or 359 which are among the most popular tuning options, if look at custom truck photos. So, the retro look is still on, even if those parts actually contain Cree LEDs from 2020s ;D.

I think Western Star has my favorite trucks in the game.  Every one of them I have driven, I've loved.  Here is my new blue beauty.  The longest truck in the game!

I think the next ATS thing will be a truck tuning pack.  For ETS2 I think we will see a truck early in 2023, but not right away.  They usually let things settle a few months.

^Here are the right wheels I mentioned ;D.
Due to big amount of chromed detailes, some dark metallic color is the best for this truck.

That is a great looking truck @Captain Ridiculous

I wish there was a way to make the chrome bumper a different color, but I guess they only offered these as all chrome.

Also, did you notice that only the basic interior has a microwave oven between the cabinets, and all more expensive options have a TV instead? ;D

Looks like the ones who buys expensive truck prefer spiritual food over the material one ;D. Or it’s a nod to a sad joke where the TV defeats the fridge?

UPD:

While the team is making another sound recording session, we have another anniversary of ATS — seven years between «why it has so little content for its price?» and «why the ETS developers give ATS more attention?» stages. The states become smaller, so I hope that Mimal will be completely covered from the back till the end of the next year.

Hmm... for some reason I can’t attach new pictures after the first one... ???

I would much prefer a microwave and a fridge in my truck over a tv.  Besides, you can just stick the tv someplace else. ;D

Ahhh, I remember people complaining about too little content in ATS and people still complain that the developers are giving ATS more attention.  What good memories.  What good times we live in. ;D

I'm not sure why You can't post more though.  Weird.  I actually there was a time you HAD to drive to Redding to get the Eureka.  I forgot the 101 didn't connect it to San Rafael.  It's amazing how much even just the California map has changed.

another sound recording session

Scania Truck Driving Simulator 2 confirmed!  lol

A thing of beauty.

I was surprised by the lack of interior customization on the 5700XE in terms of adding stuff like cups.  I can't put a coffee mug in the cup holder!  Obvious sign of SCS is degrading in quality!  Abandon ship!  (No joke, this is how some people are commenting in the forums and on their socials)

Beautiful truck, CR.

I was surprised the seat color in the new truck couldn't change.  I didn't notice the microwave disappeared either.  I went with the all black interior.

They should announce the new option in their blog post, since it’s really easy to miss where exactly is the circle with the seat switch (just noticed they have a truck drawn on the floor mat, and it’s not 5700XE!).

Also, don’t forget about the small safety window for the right door, which is also as option, like in 9900i and DAF 2021. Notice that the door with safety window has a little broken reflections, which makes this door a little off-the-place.

(^that sun visor is MASSIVE! ;D)

Wow!  Great tips!  I didn't even realize the seat option!!!  I did find the safety window though.  I removed it. ;)  I am not letting people look into my truck.
