I tell you what: the developers remind us that the next patch will contain the propane carriers! If you compare the lists of accessories, you can notice than European trailers have fire extinguishers, while the American ones have wings... I found it funny for some reason. Since the 53' chassis with steerable rear axle is mentioned, it may mean the return of long gas tankers to California, where they could be used for freight market until version 1.32, but after that update some part of 53' trailers (the ones who had a fixed axle in the rearest position, like this one) were banned.
Also, that double trailer with wings looks just opulent, even if it doesn’t really match the truck colors ;D. Shame to European makers who doesn’t want to equip the trailers with wheels matching to the ones installed on truck. Krone has a small line with double tires, but only for inner-city distribution.

Besides, you can just stick the tv someplace else. ;D
But please, not in this way :

The new truck is pretty cool looking.  I was looking at it in the garage.  I might buy this one next.  My Mack needs a companion.

I was surprised the seat color in the new truck couldn't change.
They should announce the new option in their blog post, since it’s really easy to miss where exactly is the circle with the seat switch (just noticed they have a truck drawn on the floor mat, and it’s not 5700XE!).

I didn't realize this. :O

At least it isn't in front of him while he is driving. ;D

I am also really curious what kind of truck he is driving.  It looks so spacious inside and empty compared to modern trucks. ;D   I must say I like it though.  The aesthetic is very nostalgic.

^ The seat looks blue with an orange lining. ;D  I do like the fridge though.  The TV looks like it would fall off with any sudden movement.

I am also really curious what kind of truck he is driving.

It’s... very empty Zil-Caterpillar prototype from early 1990s, when the manufacturer from Moscow tried to make something time-relevant and American-looking in collaboration with Caterpillar and PACCAR.
The seats look too short for long comfortable driving ;D.
Nothing of these prototypes were put into real production, and one of few reasons they aren’t forgotten is... Hard Truck 2, where the cutest of these trucks (named Zil-5423) was present.
(of course, the ETS mod with it also exists ;D)

Also, they had a truck racing team in 1993.

P.S.
I see Zil liked experimenting with off-road chassis.

I like the size of their wheels ;D.
Anyway, Zil was literally shot in the head in early 1970s. They created a completely new truck for some other factory (that’s how KamAZ was born)... and returned to make the obsolete vehicles at home.

^ Thank you for the history, comrade.  ;)   If it's something Eastern European or Soviet, I know Tim will have our back and share it all, lol!

The Zil-CAT seriously looks like the body of some American truck, and Zil grafted on some unique grille and headlights. ;D

Thanks, Tim!  That was informational.

If we ever get HoR, it would be so cool to drive some trucks like this... even though SCS will probably never make them.

Mods will be very helpful ;D.
After all, making historically accurate trucks is easier than geographically accurate map, where you need to process the huge amount of information from the Google Maps. Although, the aforementioned Zil-5423 from Hard Truck 2 is definitely not historically accurate because the developers has given this truck the dashboard taken from Iveco (It has a better look than original one ), and the players didn't complain, so, the mods for experimental truck can be done in the same way. Recreate the exterior from the photos, put inside any interior you like, and it's done! ;D

(some Spintires-worthy content ahead)
It also had some bigger tires:

Big volume and low pressure is a substitute of suspension system, that’s why there are almost no clearance between the tire and the wheel arch ;D.
Sherp uses the same principle, and can even float due to small weight.

The sleeper behind the cab makes everyone look like American, especially if you have the long hood like the old KrAZ-255.
