Also the new stream will probably be the release of the new MAN truck.  May 16th.

You are correct!  [excited]

I am also liking the new photos!  Love it when people post photos of their trucks doing stuff or just being awesome.  ^b-

I've been on ETS2 for the past two weeks but I have an urge to drive Montana and Texas again.  i haven't fully explored them both and I still don't memorize all the routes by heart.

Oklahoma Ports of Entry
Twitter Link

Large parking lots and bureaucracy. Ports of Entry are where your journey begins. These gateways ensure that you and your truck are ready for the road ahead. At these checkpoints, you'll undergo inspections to make sure you have all the necessary permits and paperwork and that truck and cargo are in compliance with state and federal regulations. You'll be on your way in no time if you are!

Edit: Released this was already posted a page back. :P  Have it again!

So, the changes in the look are not so radical as between the new and previous DAFs, but all modern trends are present, including optional cameras instead of mirrors, digital dashboard and a big black trapezoid on the face — almost like Ford F-Max or Iveco S-Way, not present in the game (for now... ;D).
Don’t forget that since it’s a new generation SCS model, the fuel tank and seat selection is separate from the chassis and interior now.

As I said before.  People have been begging for this MAN truck, that really isn't all that different from what we've had.  Now go check the SCS Forums and check the disappointment from the ETS2 crowd.  It's so predictable and quite pathetic.  They are never happy.

That said, SCS did a great job on the truck.  It looks good, and has lots of customizable bits.

I don’t see any reason to complain. The truck model is made with higher quality than two previous generations, and it’s not developer’s fault that the MANufacturer didn’t want to change the style radically ;D.

The digital dashboard has big numbers and is nicer for the eyes than new Freightliner or DAF have (although I would like to see more information instead of lion logo ). Similar to WS 57X, for some reason you can choose the full sideskirts only with shorter fuel tanks (why?), and, similar to another WS, 49X, you can make the truck’s face a little different when choose the Duty bumper type — in this case, you can also add the headlight protection.

Also, the lot of tuning points have only one option now, so, I believe there will be more when the tuning pack will come out. As for the sounds — the library of weird turn signal clicks has a new specimen! ;D
If compare the parts which aren’t noticeable in the game — the tallest cab has got rid of the window above the door and the high windscreen. Some drivers loved them, but some has glued the excessive window surfaces with non-transparent films right after the purchase 8). The cab names are no longer following the clothes size pattern like S, L, XL, XXL and so on.

Tim summed it up well.  It's a nice new model for sure.

Haven't they done Santa Cruz?  Or was that Santa Maria?

This looks incredible!  Seriously!  Maybe the best of anything I've seen so far! :o  Didn't someone predict they'd be adding Santa Cruz?

Wow, the Bay Area is going to  be PACKED with cities.  We've assumed San Jose and Oakland are in the game, but given the scale, with Santa Cruz ALSO in the game, it will be very tight.  The current SC doesn't even feel like a town, more or less a random collection of things.  This on the other hand is legitimately good! I think Monterey would have been a good addition, it would allow for more driving time between SF to there.  But wow, these Santa Cruz photos are truly incredible. :o

As for the new truck, it really looks better in bright metallic colors, like that orange from the trailer video.

But... I think the MANly color can also be used ;D.

There is absolutely no comparison among what is in the game and what they are showing here.  The Santa Cruz in the game is a forgettable, unrecognizable location with zero identity. Let's compare.

This is supposedly the downtown in the current version of the game, and as you can see, it's empty and lifeless.  No buildings.

Now compare it to these new shots of the downtown and the adjacent avenue.

This road currently in the game doesn't really exist as such irl.  At least looking as it does.  It leads to a historic lighthouse also pictures below.

Now compare those to how it will look in the future update.  They toned down the road to be more accurate as well. The new Lighthouse Field State Beach is far more realistic.

Here is a view looking from the current games, West Cliff Drive.  The developers made a fictional cove for a marina to hide the amusement pier in the background.

The new version is now accurate.  From the same West Cliff Drive, we now have a direct view of the Santa Cruz Wharf.  The fake cove and fictional marina are gone.  We can now see some beautiful white California sand as well as the SC Beach Boardwalk.

^It becomes more and more easy to be caught on making the unrealistic locations with modern game community.
The famous Desert Bus didn’t have any other locations between Tuscon and LV, while pretending to be realistic in some ways... like unability to pause the game and realistic amounts of time needed to make a ride. I prefer the aproach of *TS developers in what is needed to be made realistic, and what isn’t ;D.

I really appreciate these side-by-side picture comparisons.  It's really impressive.  As someone who has frequented Santa Cruz, I actually recognize it now!

WOW! What a comparison!  Awesome stuff there, Rainy!  Visually it is night and day improvement. I always forget Santa Cruz is even in the game.
