I don’t really like the dirty water in that forest lake, but the ducks are cool ;D.

I think it is swampy Louisiana. I think they want to diversify a bit and not bore people with the middle states, move further east and stay along the Gulf Coast.  I can imagine sales slow when boring states like Kansas, Nebraska, or Iowa are introduced.  They need to regain some energy.

I think it's Lousiana or Arkansas.

Which leads me to wonder if we will get new towns/cities with the Swiss rework?  I except new scenery towns, but they don't have a whole lot of room to work with.

^Well, Romania has a lot of scenery villages located very close to each other, so it can be done with Switzerland as well ;D.

I think there will be a lot of scenery towns.  I also think they will squeeze in at least one new marked town.

There is room for it.

So, we will have at least two new ferries — from Ancona (to Zadar or Split) and from Bari (to Dubrovnik or Durrës), also, there will be more landmarks for these cities. I already see a small drawback from this — since the way from Turkey to Italy will become much shorter, the income from the hired drivers may become smaller. However, if the drivers have all points of the «Long Distance» skill, they will still prefer UK or Spain for a destination point ;D. Also, we can cheer that European ferries are the important mean of transportation, unlike what we have on the current ATS map ;D.

Well, it was more than half of the year since the last paint job pack, so the release of one more was inevitable ;D.

Modern lines look clean. Some are too curvy and wavy to be modern LINES.  Overall though a nice addition.

So, looks like it’s the first time when there was some argue under the first teaser ;D.
P.S. The metal guard rail on the full wooden bridge looks a bit off. Thanks for the rusty surface, it doesn’t stick out very much.

So as Pavel had indicated in some recent ATS streams as well as some of the developers, it's official.    ATS now has THREE full-time map teams.  Two teams are moving north doing Kansas and Nebraska, and the third is going to Arkansas.  I think this is a great move as they will keep things fresh as they work on some of the more less visually interesting states. Pavel says his goal is to get to Chicago, so the north team is doing that, while the other team is going to do the south and get to the Atlantic.  It's going to give us quicker map updates and more variation of things to see.  From Chicago, they have so many directions they can go, including Canada.  In the recent ATS stream, Pavel confirmed again he hopes to have Canada and Mexico states/provinces in the game.  Maybe even some Canadian ones before they finish in the NE US.

Arkansas. Our first truly SOUTHERN US State.  Where things aren't as developed, it's horribly humid, and poverty is more common.  Expect some beat up scenery, muddy rivers and lakes, hillbillies, and some wonderful hospitality.

HUGE Moment for ATS to be deviating from their up-and-down method of releasing states.  We're going two ways now and will be headed for the Great Lakes with Chicago.  I think this is an awesome more and direction for them to go.  One way we will see new scenery and places in the south.  The other we will see some flat plains states that will all lead up to the massive city of Chicago!

YES! We got confirmation! It's officially happening!  The teams are splitting up.  THREE Map teams on ATS plus a FOURTH team working on California Rework Phase 3.  So I made a concept map.  The yellow is teased states/areas we know are coming.  Then the areas show possible routes they could be going.
