The event have started!
This time we have not only the special truck and trailer paintschemes, but also a special part of the map, where you can teleport after taking the event cargo.

Okay, this is really cheesy but I love it.
I can tell they had so much fun creating the Christmas Wonderland map! I can also see they are testing some new animations and things for future map expansions and game updates! Super cool.
MasterXtreme was right again, as usual.

This s going to be so much fun! I can't wait to drive into this new world. This is certainly a test-bed for future climactic changes to the trucking world's we love. I hope we are able to access this part of the map eventually outside of Christmas events.

Just as you said, the Christmas event starts Thursday.

The snow isn't just a texture either! It's actually slippery and has a feel to their trucks.
Also the magic of Christmas, [spoiler]not needing fuel in Christmas Wonderland.

The map looks so cool! I can't wait to drive it.
And here is the rules! A bit different than usual.
There are 5 different depots in Winterland for all deliveries, to and from, they are:
Christmas Market...a town square market
Marigold's...a chocolate factory
Northstar...a post office
Rudolph's Crafts...an arts workshop
Snowy Peaks...a mountain resort market
Your personal goal is to complete 15 deliveries for them including at least 1 delivery to or from each depot, using Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator or both games combined.
Snowflakes are gained for those cities that have delivered to or received from Winterland. For a city to receive 1 Snowflake, the community needs to complete 1000 deliveries between it and Winterland. Each city can receive up to 5 Snowflakes!
The community goal is to reach at least 1000 Snowflakes for cities across all trucking territories. A unique community reward will be unlocked for each tier of 200 Snowflakes accomplished, with 5 tiers in total.

Did you guys find the frozen lake to drift your truck and trailer on? I am loving the physics of this new Winter Wonderland map!! The snow physics are equally as good. I love the sliding feel when slamming the breaks too. Very impressed! The map is awesome too! Sort of a 1950s America mixed with some European alpine village feel!

I absolutely love the scenery and all the towns. Rudolph's Village, Northstar, the big one, lol! This is such a cool event! The physics are great too.
Also for some reason, all my deliveries are to Omak, Washington. Seems to be true with most players as it has the most deliveries last I checked, lol. So random.

I have not encountered falling snow... does that happen? It is a beautiful map.
Am all for if SCS wanted to make fictional maps!!! I love how they make the world ambitious, American and Euro vehicles, mixes of styles. It's such a magical place!

The deliveries are a bit wonky as they are so short, but I truly love this. What a fun Christmas WoT event!

Yeah, the deliveries are really short, but if you choose to go to a further portal, you can do that too.

Choose the paintjob for a new Renault!
Since the video contains the sound recording session, we may see this fully electric Renault in the game next year
. For now, we can vote for one of these paintjobs:
The voting requires to register, but there will be a chance to win the steering wheel
. I think there are too many competitors, so I will continue to use my 10-year old
G27
.

I like those electric paint jobs. Reminds me of the pain job on the Freightliner eCascadia from a few years ago.

Today there was a stream introducing the new
Kenworth T680
. The streamers have said that it will debut in the game with limited options (one cab, one chassis etc.), and more of them will be added later. It’s unclear when we will try the new truck (maybe... tomorrow?), but I already see the game is preparing to the update — as all previous generation trucks, the existing
T680
now has a year in its name
.
