So how do we get there?

I mean, if we can drive most of the way, great.  But it might take several trips to bring all we need.  Hand tools, boat, some supplies, etc.

Several trips for sure.  We could also make a supply barn.  Maybe fence in areas eventually.

Build our food and water infrastructure first.

So any phones?

If you get coverage, great.  Otherwise, probably not.  We wouldn't have electricity unless we have fuel for generators, which we were trying to avoid man made luxuries like that.  Certain things we could have, simply because they don't require constant man-made things like oil in a generator or electricy.

Could could eventually do wire communication.  Hang them from out roof's and have them connect to each home.  Like the cans with a wire conversation.

Thats a good idea.

Taught wire, some old cans.  Not a bad idea.  Would make for quick communication when needed amongst each others.

What about a hunting animal?

I would say no to begin with.  Would be an extra mouth to feed and take care of.

I think we've kind of hammered this whole plan out.

Yes we have.  We now all know what we would do to build our own little fort in the wilderness.
