Even if you don’t pay attention to adding of a shorter cab, new chassis and a door in a window from DAF beat a tiny facelift from MAN .

The DAF at least looks a little different.  I bet they will introduce the updated Kenworth T680 as well.  It looks different than the one in the game.

So two 'new' trucks per game this Christmas season since there won't be any new DLC's.

You may very well be right.  I will explain below...

The ATS crew of SCS had a big streaming event (I will post it when it's on Youtube) and they hinted... pretty much stated that several new trucks are coming to ATS soon.  Pavel was very generous with info in this stream including this reveal of an upcoming truck, which shocked everyone...

 

It is an older International 9900i Eagle.  They said this truck is in a "Fairly advanced state" in terms of development for the game. They also didn't rule out the Western Star 5700XE.  They said they were working on "Various trucks" for ATS and to let our minds wander.  There was no limitations. There was also confirmation that they have the sound for the new Volvo VNL, but nothing else was said.

There were more teases about a trailer manufacturer coming to ATS as well.

Also new locations are being added to Wyoming such as Cody and US-14.  More indepth Yellowstone will be in the game based off these screens from the stream. Upon this completion, Wyoming will be the most "complete" state in terms of major roads and routes within the game.







PostEd truck has a new design.  Not as similar as FedEx anymore.

Wooo!!!!!! This is all awesome!! There is a ton of information to pick apart from this.  I can't wait!  Thank you for sharing and posting photos of all this.  Not all of us have time to see their streams which take place at very weird times. 

That new stretch of US-14 AND cody will be the icing on the cake.  Wyoming will be my favorite state of non-coastal states. 

Also new truck(s)?!?!?!  That is really exciting, exspecially since they showed the teaser!  Wow!!

Now that is how you update a game!! I mean... how awesome is SCS?  They are truly the best out there!!! This is so awesome!   If Cody turns out to be marked, we will have more reason to drive through Yellowstone too... and it will probably be a connection to Montana someday too.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!!! All this is great information with some speculation and some hard defining news!  I would love to see the Eagle and 5700 enter the game!  Both would be awesome!  Plus whatever else they plan to do.  Very promising!

Also new roads and expand Wyoming will be great!  More roads is probably my favorite thing they can add to this game.  Wyoming is already a top tier state, this can only improve upon that.

For this challenge, we are asking you to deliver Gifts cargo across all trucking territories. We will be awarding Gifts to cities, based on the number of deliveries it gives or receives. The more a city gives or receives, the more Gifts that city gets, to a maximum of 10.

You’ll be able to track the community progress on World of Trucks or directly in the game using the updated External Contracts interface.

We will be rewarding the players each time the community reaches a new tier with a specially hand crafted truck-interior vintage toy, created with fond memory and love, right here by our very own developers at SCS.

Using External Contracts with a World of Trucks-connected profile in Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator or both, the community is to get as many Gifts as possible awarded to as many cities as possible across all trucking territories. Every city can achieve up to 10 Gifts!

For a city to gain 1 Gift the community must make 1000 deliveries to or from it, using the provided Gifts cargo.

Each tier of 350 Gifts assigned, will unlock a unique community reward for both games.

For a Personal goal, complete at least 15 deliveries of Gifts cargo in either Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator or both games combined.

Personal goal: Your contribution of  15 or more deliveries of Gifts cargo will gain you:

A special World of Trucks Achievement
A beautiful array of decorative lighting for truck cabs in each game, at least 1 for each truck brand, as a truck accessory item.
Community goals: Each tier of 350 Gifts,  assigned to cities, will unlock unique community rewards for both games. There will be 7 tiers in total, so after 2450 Gifts are achieved all community goals will be completed, so let's ride!

First of all, wow!  I have to watch that live stream and see all that new stuff coming!  Second, THANK you MasterX for giving us all the info you saw and posting it!  How awesome.  It looks like 2022 has a lot of promise.



Now I have a trucking event to do too!!!  I want those trailers and paint designs.

I also noticed the recent update changed the UI of the game.  There is now a yellow outline around buttons on any of the menus.

Today was another Christmas live stream by SCS and they said it was their last of the year.  Again, this stream was for American Truck Simulator and they focused on some of the rewards for the current truckers challenge.  They are nicely detailed rewards indeed.  It was kind of nice to see them take time to talk about Christmas's from their pasts and gifts they received as kids. 

Today they teased Montana and Texas as well as drive through older parts of the map with more lans to improve older states in ATS. As one commenter in the stream said, "I have watched the stream, and the future looks so bright for ATS, it is blinding me."

ATS will have several new trucks "soon" plus new roads, routes, and they secretly added more secret roads in the last update but didn't say where.  More complex prefabs that are fully interchangeable will be seen in future updates and continued re-works of older states, specifically California right now.

There was nothing in the past back-to-back streams about ETS.  SCS has done two streams, two days in a row! Both were Christmas themed, and both 99% about ATS.
