Walkin' to New Orleans, goin' to Kansas City, get me Memphis, Tennessee, Highway 61 revisited, off the Tallahatchee Bridge, Georgia on my mind... this whole thread could be a commercial for TSG, using lyrics from songs that all mention place names.  Of course, the licensing fees for their use would mount up quick.....

Maybe it's somewhere near Desolation Row. Which, depending on you ask, is either a crapsplat border town in Mexico, the red-light district of Manhattan, or a dirty street corner in Duluth, Minnesota.

We still have some news about the game:
No huge map updates here (only the bus stations in some cities), but several small updates for the trucks: a little update for Scania Tuning Pack, some new engines (in the middle of the line, so I am not interested ;D) and mirror cameras for Renault T, and the first three-axle chassis for Iveco S-Way.

I am real curious about how quickly this update is coming.  It's nuts. Smaller sure, but ATS has a good amount of things in this one.

The new HUD and widget style set up is very versatile and will allow for players to have their own individual set up.  Very nice!

Good point. I didn't think of that.  I didn't know they were movable.

Wow.  My guess is they are going beyond just reworking, but actually looking for new landmarks and features to include on this route! This team is huge!

Good team.  They are essentially a map expansion team and more.  They are creating an entire game with new maps upgrades they need to seamlessly fit in with the older world PLUS make new vehicles and new game systems.  They need a big team.

I forgot, have they done a Coach team post yet?

Yes, and that team was smaller.

One team is just making buses as well as the bus game system while a different team is adding bus stops (Same team who is reworking parts of Europe).

Road Trip team is making cars and redoing a map and creating a whole new game system.

Interesting stuff.

After a lot of not-so-positive reviews on the first versions, the developers have made some impressive progress — first, they stopped to be ashamed for being too similar to ETS (unifying the map scaling, and, later, the game version number — that’s how ATS 1.7 became 1.28), and then they filled it with bigger amount of content year by year, sometimes giving the new features to ATS first ;D.
