Thank you, thank you.  So far my longest haul hasn't been that long.  I am working on upgrading the hazardous materials licenses since it seems to other the most pay to start. From there, I might work on long distance or maybe high price/fragile cargo?  I am not sure yet.

It's so cool you got the game, Raine!

In some teasers and gameplay vids I see people driving on this unfinished road somewhere in Wyoming.  I still haven't found it and I've driven to every city.  I can't imagine where it is.

Try driving around Yellowstone.

SOME INTERESTING TIDBITS OF INFO ABOUT TEXAS/MONTANA

As for the next DLC, in the latest stream, Pavel pretty much confirmed Texas is the next DLC.  But also said something quite interesting.  He said the ATS team is working hard on Texas but also said another portion of the ATS team is working on another state.  We can be pretty sure that other state is Montana. I didn't know the ATS team was large enough to have so many separate projects, including a team that is working on retouching old parts of the map.

Seems like the ATS side may have the majority of the team working on it full steam ahead.  Pavel also said expect to see a lot of Texas blog posts "pretty soon."

^ Thanks and good info too. :D  They have so much of the USA to do, so it makes sense they are putting a lot of effort into it.  It really shows.  All good tidbits from the stream too.  I haven't watched that latest one yet, but I will and if I find anything else, I will add it.

We can be pretty sure that other state is Montana.
At least because we already need to connect two separate parts of I-90 ;D.

Every base in the game can give you long distance and/or just-in-time cargo, but high-price/fragile cargoes are less common ;D.

So I finally got some photos and I found some things that hopefully won't disappoint.  I didn't really take any nature or scenery photos, just some interesting things.

I don't know if this is an error or not (because it isn't like this on real maps) you can see a smattering of road markers on the map just south of Jackson.

The ATS team also had a lot of fun making several new light delivery trucks.  There is one for Trucker Cola, Dick's Crispy Chicken, and two designs for Pizza House!  They all use a generic Isuzu truck model.

There is a giant 'R' like in real life as you drive by Rawlins, Wyoming.

There is a historic train funnily named HISTORIC TRAIN in Rawlins. I think they could have at least named it something.  It's also very small. The real park and train can be seen here at a park called Tully Park.  I find it weird that ATS has a fictional train company name for BNSF and Union Pacific, but choose not to use either name on this train.

North of Rawlins at a gas station, there is a dirt road that leaves the gas station in two areas.  When you start to drive on it, you either come out of a make-shift pit lane, or enter a very large figure 8 style race track!  It is a dirt race track and done similar in the style to a local American race track.  There is also a warehouse in the pit lane area of the track and a small lack.  There is also a speed trap sign that captures your speed as you race by. At the center of the figure 8 track are large cone men waving you on to keep going!

So those are some things I found interesting so far. :)

I also had a fun idea that maybe you all would like to partake in.  We choose one state (ATS) or one country (ETS2) and all go around trying to find things that are unique or beautiful.  It would allow us to go back to maybe older areas of the map and appreciate the details we may have overlooked at one time.

We only recently started looking more in depth at these new releases, but it would be fun to do it on past releases as well. They deserve the same attention.

I like that idea! I would happily take part!

Also some great finds!  How cool you found that figure eight race track!  I will definitely have to give that a look myself! :D  I know the gas station you are talking about.  It isn't right on the road, but a small road leads to it off the main highway at a 3-way intersection.

I found a few things, but today I focused on scenery for all of you.  First I would like to share this image I took of Sheridian, Wyoming.  Then beneath it is the real view from a similar angle of Sheridian.  It's shockingly close.

Plus some random scenery.  I didn't alter times or weather.  These were the actual views when I was driving and its amazing how the new weather system really brings this whole game to life in a new way. Some of these, dare I say, even look real.

This route below is so scenic.  I got to drive it twice so far.  Once during the day and once at twilight.  Such a cool road.

I thought this sunset was SO cool!  I hope they keep adding more sky-boxes.  They are so impressive in this game now.  This is in some small town.

You can't tell me this doesn't look real.

Great photos and finds by people here!  Love what you are sharing.  Some of those pics do indeed look real!!!  Great find with the race track too!

Let's do it!  :D  I like it.

 [weary]

Ugh.  I have the rain probability all the way to 0, but for the last three (real life days) when I play my game, it's done nothing but rain all through Spain and Portugal.  I don't know what to do.  It's driving me mad.

That is some nice time and attention SCS is putting into the lesser ATS.  They should be putting all that effort and more back into ETS2.  The game that gave them their fame and fanbase.

Hey, hey, hey.  This is not a ATS vs ETS2 trucking game club here.  If you're gonna do that, do it someplace else.  We love both games here and give them both attention when new content is released.

No division here, Tusszent.

I'm not sure as to why it is raining in your game though.  If you have any mods, it might be messing with the game.

I like the photos everyone.

So I was thinking the other day.  We know the Russia DLC is coming... but we don't really know the exact region they are going to create?  I am sure Moscow will be in it, but to what extent will they go into Russia?  How far north?  How far east?  How far south and will it connect to other countries they've already made in eastern Europe?

So here is what I am thinking.  This DLC is supposed to be about Russia's Heartland. So putting that into consideration, this DLC will be one of the largest for ETS2 no matter what.  But how far into Russia's heartland will it go?  It is doubtful they will include much around Ukraine and the Crimean region.  It is doubtful they will go too far north (but I wish they would, imagine going to the dirty and industrial port cities of Murmansk or Arkhangelsk.

So below I pose three prospective ideas for the land area they will include.  In all three, I don't they will go that far east of Moscow as there really isn't much east except countryside and small villages and summer homes. They grey spot for all of these maps is the border with Belarus, which does not exist with ETS2. A part of me thinks the map will just be from roughly the northern tip of Belarus's border, east to Moscow, and not including anything south that connects with Ukraine.  But this would also make a weird portion of the map with limited connects.  So I think they will connect to Ukraine, which may be a future map DLC someday.

This one looks small, but it's already quite big.

I got way too excited and I know this is way too big.  But going north and expanding your road connections with Finland would be neat.

This one looks more reasonable if they add Ukraine someday. It stops at roughly the Volga River and allows for further explanation of rural countryside.

So what do you all think?
