While your photos are great, APD... I don't think we will drive through downtown because it really makes no sense in terms of trucking.  Based on the photos, it seems to be more in the light industrial area and along the main commercial corridor.  Based on your presumption, the road would look like this APD.

And if it followed this road, there is a very tight spot for trucks just before downtown.  There is nothing for trucks down here unless they just wanted to include it.  After you drive by downtown, they would have to make us bee-line north to get back to the areas trucks might use.  Unless the devs are purposely placing landmarks in weird spots just so we see them, it realistically makes little sense for our trucking game.

Based on photo five, it looks like they reconfigure the city just so we can drive by the capitol building.  Because nothing like this seems to exist in real Helena.  It doesn't go from low density commercial to the capitol.

@timmelon  [excited] That is it!  Oh I miss that game. Hearing the sounds and music again brings back so many memories.  I remember this iceberg level where the ice would continue falling into the water so players had to always be on the move too.

I miss Twisted Metal's original games.  Those were so much fun.  Ridiculous just for being fun.  Games are not like that anymore.
Very far from modern «how dare you to draw a scratch on our licensed vehicle!» approach ;D.

Well here is the issue, as you probably have noticed now too.  The angle we see in image five doesn't make sense to how the city is in real life.

So they probably made up this little section of the map just to include a visual landmark.  They moved the capitol north to be along this commercial boulevard.

Good work guys.  I see what @Captain Ridiculous is saying and it is impossible.

I did find the Huey Helicopter.  it is one freeway exit up from the locations on Captain Ridiculous' map photo.  It is located near the airport.

I doubt we will go to the airport, but maybe the light industrial warehouse area to the south of it.

I see what you are saying, CR.  I think we need more images to model a route.  We did pretty good when figuring out Casper (or was it Cheyenne?) and Truckee. ;D

What starts a discussion here is so random.  What starts a in-depth discussion with photos and maps is even more random.

@MasterXtreme @Rainberry @Anyponedrawn Thank you very much you guys. :D

I take it there isn't a steep learning curve?  And can you play with keyboard and mouse easily or is something else better?  I will start with mouse and keyboard.  I do have a PS3 controller I could use to.

There are a lot of helpers like auto-parking or auto-loading, also, the driver’s fatigue and even fines can be disabled ;D.

If you can apply the analog axis from that controller for the steering, it’s great.
A lot of people plays just with a keyboard — if the return and sensitivity was set up right, driving on the highways is easy, the only challenge is maneuvering on the tight intersections or reversing. But there is no need to rush — stop, look around and then continue. The traffic is very forgiving in these games (not on roundabouts ;D), and when you turn your emergency lights on, they don’t approach close to you, giving more room for maneuvers.

No wonder this topic is growing so fast ;D.

P.S. I like this «funny» option in reviews filter on the Steam page.

SCS Twitter says they will make a stream tomorrow, with a gameplay from ucpoming  Montana DLC.

So, I think this expansion pack is probably under final testing. [excited]

This is good news!  Of course I will probably be at work during the stream.  So hopefully we can get some main points from the stream on Youtube.

Sometimes they do, and confoundingly, sometimes they don't!  It's usually a day or so late on Youtube.  I'm sure if anything major happens before we see it, we will know about it.

Even if it's being able to drive a truck up the Eiffel Tower from a secret road that starts in Montana.
