I think I’m going to return to MAN until the next small ATS update — my game crashes exactly on the same place (I tried several times), 106 miles before the end of my ride . I have even loaded a previous save and used a different route, and there also were crashes in the same (but different) location.
So, Colorado Springs can wait for their wheels a little longer .

(or, should I make a report on their forum? )

P.S. By the way, it’s the only kind of a trailer set which can take more than 18 Volvo wheels. Also, the Pumpjack can be transported in a full set only if you have the RM Double .

If your set consists only of the short trailers, you can take only the prime mover, and if you have only long trailers, you can take only the horse head.

^ That is very weird.  I have run several runs including a 526 mile run just minutes ago.  I would probably report that in the SCS forums, Tim.  (Great looking truck)

Let SCS know, Tim!! I have yet to drive the new VNL, but I have been driving my red Western Star 49X.  Here are a few new pics.

I figured I would share some photos of my new Volvo VNL.  It is the same color everyone seems to be choosing, lol!  It's a good blue.  I got the biggest one they have because I do long hauls across large regions and need a place to sleep in my truck.  The first few images are of it straight out of the dealership followed by my first cargo delivery with a new in-game cistern trailer.

One of the greatest improvement is the bumpers . The ones on older Volvo were a little off, and the bumper of a new Volvo is much smoother .

P.S. I made 4700+ miles with a new Volvo before the game started to misbehave. Also, I don’t remember the crashes like that for all years I spent in the game.

Loving the photos everyone! We got some lovely trucks.  I love that Western Star 49X you have @Captain Ridiculous!  Very vibrant.  Love that blue on the VNL as well @MasterXtreme!  Nice angles and shots.

Today, while I was delivering some bricks in Finland (instead of making a bug report for SCS)

ATS got a little (33 MB) update, and after it those mysterious crashes I mentioned earlier have disappeared, so I can return to ATS again .
Also, I noticed that aerodynamic cover around the new Volvo mirror mount can be not only replaced, but also removed. I like the classic look a little more, because those covers look too big for me .

Okay blog post today. ATS and ETS should be getting minor bug fix updates today and some pre-preparation for a sound update to the game, once again.

Is it weird I am liking the new VNL more than the new TGX?  Anyone else loving the VNL?

I am really liking them both, but the new VNL is much more different then previous VNL compared to the new TGX and the old one.  In that sense, I do really like the new VNL.

I'm in that same boat.  Too many of the trucks in ETS2 have all felt very much the same lately.  That is because competition is so stiff and everyone makes a similar products.  Unlike the original trucks in the game, there was a lot of variation in how they felt.

ATS is similar in that all the trucks are somewhat similar, but you can still feel big variation in their torque and how they handle.

A new Western Star from 2024?

Do they have plans to give 49X some heavy haul update? If yes, I wonder what it can be? We already have 8×6 chassis, plus-size tires, powerful engines ang crawling gears.
I think... some equivalent of European Volvo engines with 750 HP (which are unavailable for US market ), is the best update for heavy haul .

This makes me think they might include some new off-road locations for new, challenging routes.

In an SCS stream the developers said they would like to do stand alone expansions or missions in areas that don't have to necessarily connect to a main map. My guess is a past state will get some new mountainous route and it will be directly tied to Western Star and a specialty mission.

Longterm, Uncharted territories? One-off routes around the world similar to their early games or Extreme Truckers?  You never know.
