The name Papër already says the village will be interesting .

I think the purchase of this DLC is already justified by this Albanian service station, and it’s only the beginning!
So, I’m on a halfway of my route, and the countries become more interesting one by one. Macedonia (the Northern one since 2019 ;D) has pretty modest mountains, but still can be a cure from Mountain Scenery Deficit Disorder caused by recent (and upcoming) ATS DLC’s ;D. Some of settlements I have already seen look very Italian, the other ones are closer to Romanian or Bulgarian type.

The Albanian bunkers were found very quickly ;D. Not all of them are hidden in the mountains, the backyards of roadside buildings can also have these reminders of people who were fans of Starcraft 25 years before this game was released :D. The mountains are a bit higher, plus every highway has double guardrails, and big ones — even triple guardrails... with three rows of glowing markers. If Papër garage isn’t crazy enough there are some weird location with old oil barrels surrounded by some swamp with ducks (animated!) — I hope there were no leaks from these barrels in the past.

Tirana was the first big city on my way, there are several cute streets with cute buildings, and the cool roof on several filling stations. The border with Montenegro has another interesting location: neither Gibraltar nor Hollywood, but with a half of bridge — and it looks like the second half is not going to be returned soon.

That truck dealer got my attention on one of developer’s stream, and, after visiting it, I understand that it has a nice scenery around because all of Montenegro seems to be made from the greeting card pictures :-0.

Two borders before Croatia, and I see the things are going serious — the Adriatic sea becomes closer, and the map has the photo trophy signs ahead.

I think the coolest scenery is just ahead, and I’m happy I came to this part of the map not at night, as was in Colorado, Spain, Texas and Austria ;D. Anyway, I have some work to do, so I will continue the exploring at Friday night.

Which countries did everyone drive in through?   I drove in through Italy.

As highlighted in the post above, I am loving the unique assets and props they've made so far. :D  Excellent DLC thus far.

It has me wonder if the next DLC will be Greece and the rest of Turkey.  You know how much they  <3 each other. ;) Awesome drive you had their Timothy!!! ;)

I loved your presentation Tim!! Great work! :D

That half bridge missing is kinda silly. I know it was not for silly reasons though.

The blog posting marathon continues — one more short video from Wielton factory. For me, the pool with dangerous liquid is not a good place to goof around .

Awesome post up above, Tim!

I also drove in through Italy to see the two new port cities. :D  Really nice DLC so far, but I have mostly driven inland.  Haven't seen all the mountains and ocean yet.  I am in Zagreb.

Good driving so far.  I started in France and made my way down to the new region.  Just about to enter it!  Love the photos, @timmelon!  Thank you for sharing your finds!

Great post Tim!

I guess I should expect this in countries with different road standards.  I was in Banja Luka, driving normally when all of a sudden I got 14% damage.  Apparently a over-road sign smashed the tip of my trailer and ruined my otherwise perfect delivery!!! UGH!!! I missed my truck, but smashed my trailer.  That made me so mad.

Some decent scenery.  I guess with as old of an engine as this game has, it looks pretty okay.

I can't help but feel they've done better from some of those photos.  But overall, I am loving this DLC.

Great DLC so far.  I do agree, at larger distances though, it is lacking.  We haven't had that issue on the ATS side, but sometimes it does look bare or untextured to some degree.  But I am nitpicking.  Overall, it is very well pieces together.  I have explored mostly the northern half so far.

The funny thing is they already have the 1.48.5 beta version for ATS since Thursday, but they don’t have a free window in their post schedule to remind us. However, the list of changes doesn’t contain a lot, so they probably will make a post after the actual update.

Back to WB ;D.
Of course, the new DLC also has some flat terrain, like the connection between Timișoara and Belgrade. That train stop looks a little confusing to me — if you have the functional trains, you should have the money to buy more polycarbonate sheets ;D. The sharp-angled building in Belgrade is a well-deserved photo trophy. Also, the embankment on the fourth photo looks like it was a base for railway long ago.

I like this construction place, as I remember, the prefabs like that must be added into HoR cities, the same with bigger variety of tree shapes, which can already be seen in Oklahoma. A lot of windbreaks are so dense so you can’t see what is behind them until you push the camera through the trees. Some people, as you see, can use trees as the second fence around their garage ;D.

The big circle after the giant cross — someone wanted to play tic-tac-toe with the Christian symbol? With B&H becoming closer, the mountains become higher as well.

Despite Užice has an old fort (being reconstructed today), the photo trophy of this city is... the football staduim. :-\ The path to Sarajevo has some parts with nice bright rocks and river, the city itself looks BIG — in its center you look in any direction and see the distant hills with a lot of houses. The trams have somehow inverted color scheme if compare with the flag — dark blue top and bottom, yellow middle part ;D.

"The rest stop becomes more than just a pause in the journey; it's a reminder that the road, with all its challenges and triumphs, is a shared experience that binds travelers together." - SCS Blog

This might be the most flowery prose I've ever heard about rest stops, courtesy of the SCS blog. ;D Lol!

I have a nitpick.  You can choose to do what you want with it.  When you create a blog post related post, please keep it separate from your other non-SCS news posts.  Just create a new post.  There is nothing wrong with double posting here.  Everyone knows you are not abusing anything. ;D
