A baby truck that does the same as the bigger truck?  I'm confused.  A baby truck with the same size interior as the bigger truck?  A baby truck with a more expensive price tag?

I haven't turned on the game, but I hope it is visually smaller than the XF.

Well, if you see at the sleeper, the driver’s area is much lower — which gives more internal height even in low-roof cab.

So this is barely a baby truck.

Today the manufacturers are trying to give more living space even for the small truck drivers ;D.
Scania does the same now — the cheaper P and G models have the same cab width as more expensive R and S, the difference is also the height of the driver’s area.

Essentially just lower height on the truck.

^This is where the cabover sucks ;D. To made the totally flat floor, you need to lift the cab very high (Scania S), otherwise you will have a small step between the seats (Scania R) or even the tunnel higher than those seats (Scania P or classis US cabovers).

So... if compare the XF and XD side-by-side...

Why? Why the young brother is more expensive? ;D Engine is smaller, tanks are smaller, cab is (a little) smaller... It definitely must be a mistake.

Sweet!  I like the new truck! The changes are minimal, but it is fun to have. :D

Actually, the ETS community has more minor truck update in the past: Scania Streamline was added a year after the game release as a separate truck despite the differences from the basic R model were smaller than differences between Renault T and Renault T Evo, which are the same truck in the menu ;D.
At least, DAF XD has not only the smaller cab than XF/XG, but also a bit different chassis details, so it at least deserves to be called a separate model.

UPD:
A new marked city must be a good addition to the map after San Rafael was downgraded to a scenery town ;D.

The new truck looks nice, thanks for the comparison shots.

The California rework is progressing so nice.    So if Modesto is added, I wonder if they are not going to include San Jose?  What about an updated Oakland?  That has the worst port entrance (road to get to it) of any port in the game. ;D

I think some challenging locations add a fun part to the game ;D.

True, true.  But from a visual standpoint, the jagged railings along the road look really bad in this area. ;D

I really dislike Modesto and nearby Stockton.  They both suck as cities.

I have no idea how they are squeezing all this into that small area around the Bay Area.
