The Moon was present in early versions, but after complaining about the unrealistic look it was just removed. After the big lighting update in 1.40, the nights became darker (sometimes almost pitch black), and the stars became harder to notice. So, I can say in 1.49 the stars and Moon have returned, but with better quality .
Since we have a gap between 1.49 updates of ATS and ETS, there is a time to make the comparison — at least, with no-cloudy weather the stars are pretty bright in ETS 1.48.

The new sky is awesome.  I really hope they add more skyboxes.  Hundreds would be great for variety because it really adds to the immersion.  Nothing worse then seeing the same 4 sunsets over and over.

The skyboxes are nice, especially at night.  So much more depth with the new skies.

A new event for a new state!

The community goal is closer than one for Western Balkans (200k km after 300k), but I think it will not be reached faster — the ETS part of community was much more hungry to new map expansion than the ATS part .

The new state isn't even out yet and they are telling us about another upcoming event!  Too bad the event wasn't during Thanksgiving break from work.   Somehow I will have to squeeze this in during the work week.

Without having looked yet, I assume one of the rewards for this event involves a Sunflower.

ETS 1.49 is here!

So, it’s time to check the Balkans again, under the new skyboxes. Or buy the used MAN TGX Euro 5 for 28 000 Euros and be shocked by the price of full restoration.
I don’t expect new big updates this year (maybe, only the Swithzerland rework? ), so, the ball is on ATS side. Kansas, possible agricultural cargo pack, possible Kenworth T680 New...
P.S. Since Scania from 2012 is officially the outdated model, will they change the game logo?

Do these guys ever take a break?  I guess not.  News after news after news! All big news too!

I think ETS2 is done.  ATS once again outpaces ETS by a large margin this year with so much new content, constantly being released.  We got that farming pack coming up.  I am pretty sure the insiders here will say Switzerland is not this year, due to the lack of info on it.  California is a possibility, but I am thinking less so with Kansas releasing right now.  They might wait for 1.51 for both ATS and ETS for their rebuilt map areas.  That would mean it is likely there won't be a new map DLC for that update.

Farm Machinery DLC is almost there!

Unlike other similar DLCs, today’s stream was only a presentation, and new cargo pack will be available tomorrow, after Kansas DLC release. Something tells me that these two DLCs will be able to buy as a bundle with some discount .

P.S. When did they double the chromed horns with black ones? I have noticed this only today.

With everything else available only in chrome, these horns are the black sheeps for now . But I would like to see more accessories in black... like the roof lights or mirror mounts.

I love it when they do the bundles.  That is how I got so many map DLC's.  You can save a good amount of money on that.

I drove my truck into Colorado yesterday, so I am waiting to drive right into Kansas with a load upon release.
