I do wish in a Wyoming blog post they would show some of the "cities" in Wyoming.  Some more Cheyenne or Casper, maybe Laramie or Sheridian.  Just saying.  The nature is beautiful, but would like to see some from the big towns in the state.

Love the snow covered mtns in the background of these photos.

Wyoming is real soon.  I know everyone expected a July release via predictions, but now it's looking like it will be August.  But it is very soon. I don't see Wyoming being released in September.  I think early August or mid August.  I got my top two dates for release as August 12 or August 19th. There is nothing stopping it that we know of now that the new major update has been released.  That means they are still working on polishing up this state and or slowing the release so they can get more work done on a future DLC like Texas or Montana.

The Heart of Russia will probably be first quarter of 2022, though I know many people hope it will be December 2021.  I just don't think they will be able to accomplish that, despite being back at the office.  But who knows, it might be done faster then we expect since a lot of the landscape is flat and forested with no cities in-between.  You know they will be working hard on capturing the feel of Russian urban settlements and big cities.  Lucky for them, a lot of communist blocks are the same exact building plopped over and over... so maybe that will cut down on some city building time!  Just slap the same building around and make minor alterations.

Even without the convoys, we still haven’t made enough screenshots with new photo mode, so we have what to do before the new DLC will be released ;D.
And that quick travel mode turns out to be even more useful than I thought for a first time. It’s the best thing for opening grey roads without making 1000-mile rides to a 200-mile new map part. Several times I had a situation where a) the very good order (urgent + hazardous/fragile + high value + through the new road — noone wants to miss it!) is several minutes to expire, b) I have 30-40 miles to base where I can take it and c) that base is near the specific truckstop, where you are teleported with a quick travel ^-^ — so, in that case I made a teleport from Denver to Denver or from Rome to Rome ;D. Also, those isolated Corsica and Sardinia are much more accessible than earler — no need to make long detours to a ferry.

UPD:
I think it would be a good idea to start rebuilding Poland first, as it connects the freshly-added Baltic countries with freshly-updated Germany ;D. But I see, the map team decided to start rebuilding of smaller countries near Germany (will Switzerland be next?), maybe because they just want to complete a revamp of the original map. Well, any new road is good (as we see in Northern California, where even a small rework added a lot of nice-looking locations), and, if somebody don’t like Poland*, they can bypass the Polish part, using the ferry from Travemünde to Liepāja.

*well, I hate overuse of sunflower fields there, but I still like the crazy amount of wind turbines (although, not enough to fill a whole landscape) in the northern part of this country, which is really windy IRL.

I haven't used the quick travel yet, but I have used the photo mode.  It's great!  The Quick travel isn't a huge deal to me because I always just took jobs in whichever city I was in.  I noticed they charge you money to quick travel though, yet does time advance at all?  It never did in the past which was funny.

Austria!  That will be great!  Another area where they NEED updates.  It will make the central map so much better.  I say burn the windmills and sunflower fields!  Lol!  We don't need that many everywhere!  ;D

I can't say I expected Austria to be next.  What do you all predict they will do after Austria?  Switzerland?  Then maybe move eastward?

I think many expected the UK to be next.

This seems very realistic to me.  Nice little write up, @anyponedrawn.   ^b-

Clearly they are going to take this opportunity to add the most important European country to the map; Liechtenstein.  I truthfully think they will go to Switzerland after Austria.  I sadly don't see them doing any of the Eastern bloc anytime soon, because I think THEY will think it's good enough for now.  There are other places that need help more desperately, like the UK.  But don't get me wrong, I know they will want to fix up their home country eventually and do it very well... maybe even include their new office as a drive-by location. :D

I think a lot of what you both said makes a lot of logical sense.

I do not think SCS will redo the UK until they release a complete redo of the UK which would include Ireland.  I am making a prediction that someday they will add Ireland, and when doing so, they will rebuild the entirety of the UK and have a big re-release of it as well as an event.  This may be many years down the road, but a prediction non-the-less.  Who knows... maybe by then construction will have started on the Irish Sea Bridge connecting the UK to Ireland.  Plus we have Northern Ireland which is part of the UK, because Ireland herself is not part of the UK.

Am I the only person who... doesn't really use rest stops at all?  Like... EVER?

I like that massive old RV shown in image 12 in the background.  New vehicle!

AFAIK from the forums and YT videos, the multiplayer and convoy players like to gather on truck stops for making some group screenshots. So, new locations like shown in that post are a good gift for them.

I only stop at rest areas to fill up my map completion, otherwise I never use them.

Same with truck stops, unless I need fuel.

OK, I see we will have the similar situation as with Scania family: from 2017 model year we can drive the highest (S) and the second-highest (R) cabs, and DAF is presented by the longer cab (XG/XG+), plus shorter one (XF) is on its way:

Well, they have more differences than aforementioned Scanias, so there will be less whining about «why SCS are adding the same truck twice?» ;D And I see they are showing off the new XF feature — the right door extra window, which is much bigger than classic US truck had!
