Thank you for the help Timmelon & MasterXtreme.

I did some research and learned the horsepower numbers aren't the most important thing.  I also have to understand the transmissions and their torque rating.  The better the numbers, the bigger things I can tow, and in theory, the more money I can make per load.

See!  I'm learning!  I'm like a red-blooded automotive nut now! Horsepower! Burnouts!  V8s!!!

You got it, Raine. :D Of course, more HP is beneficial too.  But you want that low end grunt.  (Low end means at a low speed.  Torque on the lower end helps you pull and get up to speed with less effort and usually speeds it up as well).

Also, the basic 10-speed gearbox works as good as 13- or 18-speed one... but only in the cities ;D.
At the highway speeds, any serious climb is a nightmare for a 10. In addition, 18 had additional reverse speeds, which are very useful on big bases.

I think in a few days, or probably by next weekend, I will have enough money and ranking to buy a truck I would be happy with. :)

So what about a showcase of everyone's trucks? Post as many pics of your trucks.  Go for it.

I need to go get some photos. :D

I am not so talented in design and photos, those US trucks are made to look great regardless who made a photo with them ;D.
And here are some of my European vehicles, I just took six screenshots featuring a truck of one of six colors currently used in my company (the year is not over yet, so green and pink are on their way ;D).

You have quite the colorful mix of photos.

Nice to see even Iveco got a little love.  They are probably the least photographed truck in the game, lol.

Don’t forget the truck with «Streamline» in its name:

A joke color will be applied to «GUY»-branded one ;D:

For a reason! ;D The new one has a small variety in tuning options, and the old one has the crudest model (same with older MAN).

Okay.... you just scored like 1000 cool points by painting your MAN truck pink.  I think during the month of November, we should all paint and drive a pink MAN truck for the entire month. ;D  That's like no-nut November or something?  I don't know...

Also the trailers on the Streamline (the most un-areodynmaic trailer might I ad, lol) is one I've never seen before.  I've never seen the double trailer with a tank configuration.  I've never even had a load with those tanks.  Are those new?

LOL!!!!  [excited] [excited] [excited]

I am really liking ATS, so someday in the future, I will probably get ETS too.  I would love to explore Europe.  But first I will focus on the new game I have.

These are the tank-containers designed for being hauled on the container carriers (and ETS has flatbeds with this option), and most of them were added a long ago, the patch 1.32 just increased the number of variations (40ft instead of 2×20ft, various barrel shape etc.). They are quite profitable.

Woah.  In my 900+ hours of playing ETS2, I can say I have never ever seen those tanks.  EVER.
