If SCS trucks were with manual gearbox sticks, we could have an option to decorate the handle with a rose — a very, very popular accessory:

I truly thought that was an ice cream cone. ;D

I was driving in Spain when I saw a toll booth up ahead.  I slowed to go through what I thought was the automatic payment system to be shocked by the fact that it wasn't and my truck went through a closed booth for truck.  It had a green check above, so I thought it was open!

My truck went through the sign, then got stuck with my trailer sticking out behind it.  So I tried to force my way through, despite my truck now have 65% damage and my trailer at 50%.  I was so cross.  I couldn't get out, so I let my trailer down and thankfully the gate opened in front of me so I drove through with my truck and had to wait for a gate to open and push traffic out of the way to get back to my trailer.

Since my trailer was stuck, I then had to smash it with my truck sideways, furthering the damage of my truck and trailer.  I could finally attach back on to my trailer, but there was another problem.  My trailer was somehow stuck behind some barriers.  I couldn't pull my truck forward.

So I decided to decouple the trailer again and push my trailer.  So I drove into it... literally, I somehow drove through it.

Then I realized my trailer was moving all by itself through the barriers and crossing into the other lane!  It was a horrid glitch.  So I had to now drive the wrong way on the highway and go over 100km backwards to even find an opening to cross over onto the other lane to get my trailer which was randomly glitching to the other side of the motorway.

When I got to the other side, my trailer's latching area was stuck on the other side of the motorway I had just left, and I couldn't latch to it.  So I began hitting the trailer to turn it sideways.  Each time the damage getting worse on my truck.  Finally at one last hit, the trailer was fully on my side of the motorway, but then my truck now had 100% damage and my truck no longer moved...

I have never had this much damage nor have I ever had to cancel a delivery.  I got so mad!!!  I am still mad!  How the heck did all this happen.  I spent over a half hour trying to get my trailer, and it just failed!  UGH.

That stinks, Tüsszent.  Lucky for you, I don't think ETS2 or World of Trucks keeps track of failed deliveries like they used too.  So it won't appear.  Glitches do happen, yours was just extra weird and unfortunately with how hard you tried to make it work despite all the damage.

Speaking of ETS2, I first started my profile in that game in 2012.  For the first time ever, I am going to start all over and make a new profile.  My current profile has over $77 million dollars, tons of drivers, tons of garages, 82% of the map now explored.  I am going to start fresh, start new.  I haven't played new since ATS in 2015.  So I don't even really remember how it all goes.

Here we go!

Well, it was actually open — for vehicles which have less than 2.1 m in height, as the sign says ;D.

Wow ;D.
A lot of things have changed since those times, so now you can choose completely different strategy for your progress — I always try something new when I start a zero-level profile at beginning of every year.

Well, the traffic in these games can be pretty smart, if compare to other game series. Usually, if you need to make questionable moves, just switch the turn indicators to the alarm mode, and the cars will not get close to you (of course, it don’t work if they already gathered around and you need to push ;D).
The one dumb thing the traffic always does — it didn’t stop before the railroad crossing, if the road after it is busy ::).

@Tüsszent , seeing your Actros again made me decide to return to Europe for a while and haul the Finnish long trailer combinations ;D. The garage and Actros are already purchased, so after the next delivery I will make enough money to buy a fresh HCT dryvan.

That is really crummy, @Tüsszent.  Sometimes things like that happen.  You got to be observant. ;D  You made some good distance through that sign upon hitting it.  Must have been going fast.

I found this interesting building while driving along the A-1 in Spain near Burgos.  It stood out to me because it seemed odd to have this building right next to the highway, with only access from the highway.  That is a very strange design, especially in any modern design.  It had no way for people to go the other direction.  I also wondered what this building was since the developers made this building unique.  It also looked pretty unkept and abandoned, though there were cars parked in the back.

It didn't take me long to find this building in real life on Google Maps. You can see it here on Google Maps.  The buildings isn't perfectly accurate, especially along the side, but the building is there and even more unkept in real life with weed growing all over the play... Strangely, the building is occupied by some sort of company (not sure what they do).  It's a very weird building, but irl, they have road access to smaller roads and the highway access is now closed.  Right next to the building is a real world toll booth, which isn't in the game.  But overall, SCS did a good job at mimicking this building in the game.  I am sure it is a landmark real world drivers notice and see daily upon their drives here.

Nice find, Rainy.  I know there are tons of things they do in the game like that, but its neat when you find one that stands out.    That is a weird placement for a building with what appears to be an access route at one time.

I forgot all about having to rank up to do longer distances and certain loads.  It's not much of a grind though like I was expecting.  It actually all happens pretty fast and it's a nice way they sort of limit you to know your local surroundings and roads before you expand outward. :D First time I started in England.  This time I started in Norway.

I will start a new ETS2 profile too.  I've only ever played on my original one.  This time I will start in a place I haven't explored much, the Baltics!  I am staring in Finland, which I haven't even explored at all yet!

Not me, not me. I have almost two months left in this year.
First time I started in England.  This time I started in Norway.
When I tried ETS for a first time, my starting point also was England, but later I stopped to buy new garages near seaports (the hired drivers often take «100 km drive — 400 km ferry»-like orders which make their level growth slower) for a long time, until Baltic DLC was introduced. Today all my garages are in Turkey, Spain, Portugal and Finland (and one in St. Petersburg) — the hired drivers from them can often make 40-60 thousand Euros for one corner-to-corner ride. Also, as a big trailer fan, I love Finland because there are no restriction to buying any type of trailer ;D.
