I wish there were off-roading sections that could actually damage your truck with deep pot holes and rough terrain.  It's always just a textured dirt or gravel road and not much else.
Well, SCS made some steps in this direction when they were making forest roads to Deepgrove bases, especially the one near Bellingham:

(haven’t been there in this year’s profile, lol)

There were no potholes, but it was very difficult to not damage your truck and lowboy trailer, even on low speed.

I love that road in Bellingham!  Oregon has some too, but they aren't nearly as scenic or rough a road.  Now it would be cool if you could accidentally go over the cliff.  I have never tried, but I assume they block you.  Imagine going down too fast and trying to take a turn and messing up your turn to go over.  You wreck your truck and end your load.  That would be cool. A tow truck would automatically take you to the nearest repair shop.

P.S. I think it would be good to have some light offroad section in one of the new expansion packs. We already have narrow dirt roads in both games, so how about some bigger locations like the sandy part of HT2 map? ;D

I appreciate how SCS is allowing for more random driving in their cities with more open areas.  This is more noticeable in ATS with many new side roads and being able to drive in parking lots in many cities and towns.  Even alleyways that aren't marked.  More entrances into delivery areas and how they can be very expansive with the player having to go through entire yards or parking and loading areas just to get to the actual building is very cool.  Again, this hasn't really been implemented in ETS2 for some reason.

I always thought a section of coastal beach to drive on would be kind of cool.

I haven't clicked on the link yet... but I am willing to bet this is the PORT OF HOUSTON.  If you want to know more about the Port of Houston in two minutes, I recommend clicking this.  It's quick, kinda funny, and to the point. You can also see why the Port of Houston is different compared to other major ports like Seattle, Tacoma, Los Angeles, etc.  Houston is at 11:00.

...even if 1.43 beta test will start next week (unlikely ;D)...
So, I was right: the 1.43 Beta will not come next week.
Again, the new patch is pretty minor one. Aside from some upgraded fonts and soundstage in the truck’s cab, there’s only one big update: the introduction of dumper trailers:
A good replacement for old dumpers, although the cargoes for this category of trailers are very cheap. But the double one made me interested ;D, and this time Turnpike Double chassis type has equal (or smaller) capacity as B-Double, so there is not a big reason to buy the former. Also, the End Dumper and Side Dumper support some paintjobs from Classic Stripes DLC plus butchered paintjobs from Retrowave DLC — you can apply the primary colors, but the palm tree in yellow circle is absent :'(.

I’m waiting for ETS 1.43 beta next week ;D.

You are always so right, @timmelon. ;)  lol

So have the old dump trailers been removed from the game or are they still in it?  Sorry, I have no idea.

It’s very easy to check by opening the «Trailer Select» window while taking an order from Freight Market.
So, the old End Dumper is replaced by the new one, and the Bottom Dumper, introduced in 1.31, remained in the list — it’s much more fresh, so there is no need to delete it.
I wonder what trailer will be replaced next? We still have old fuel tank trailers and car transporters.

Wake me up when they replace old trailers in ETS2.  We have stuff from 2012.  ATS doesn't need any replacements.

Hey a new trailer is nice!  It looks good based on the photo.  I'm gonna hop on and see if I can do a quick delivery in 15 minutes before bed. ;D

The old one wasn't too bad. ;D  They should make a museum somewhere in the game world with all the content they remove, but it's still in the museum to see. ;D

Rejoice, @Tüsszent !

So, dumper trailers were updated in ETS, but there are no Doubles or Side Dumpers, only good old End Dumpers, with aluminium or steel walls, and both types exist in two sizes (also, the smaller one can have 2 or 3 axles):
And it’s not all new content — they also added two small roads to Spain and remade Lyon and its outskirts!

So, this time ETS update seems to be better ;D.

That red truck with the trailer looks slick!  That is awesome looking.

Also awesome about the new routes.  Lyon looks more spread out and more annoying to get your deliveries to than before, but I am pleased about the new roads to drive!

Awesome!!!! Very good update for ETS2!!! :D  Going to head to Lyon as soon as I can to see the changes. And I am impressed how dense they are making Spain.  They are pretty much adding roads in every little spot they can. ;D
