^ I don't expect you to answer, but I know you are somewhere in Eastern Europe... I think, lol.  I've always guessed in my head Ukraine. The reason I say that is because you haven't been able to pinpoint Russian cities, and I would assume Russian ETS2 players would. ;D

Someone choose a picture from a recent Russia DLC blog post.  Lets try to find it.  It needs to have a landmark or something though.

I am curious about the maps people here were making months ago about how big they thought the Russian expansion was.  Ryazan is southeast of Moscow, so I wonder if it is expanding further east then people thought?

Do you remeber that blog post?
There were some answers.
That bridge from the second photo is here: https://www.google.com/maps/place/55%C2%B046'38.0%22N+37%C2%B026'48.0%22E/@55.7794409,37.4121791,12.83z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xf913ca95c446c4ce!8m2!3d55.777222!4d37.446667?hl=en

I am looking too, but I found this on my search and lol'd.

Greta looking truck, Rainberry!
I love that typo ;D.

UPD:

And found these awesome photos of Raine's first truck.  Where is her second truck?  Where are Soda's truck photos? :D

Okay, I have ranked up as high as I needed to make the truck I wanted.  So I purchased my very first truck at an astounding price of $193,000!!  Sorry for the crazy amount of photos of it, but I am pretty excited by it.  I have my first truck!!!!  I can work for myself now!

I even got to play with the photo mode in one of the pictures, you will see a day and a night version of the same spot. :D  It looks pretty neat at night with all those lights.  It has a big cabin to peacefully rest in for long-hauls across the country too.  Not to mention, it has the extra big fuel tanks so it can drive longer between stops.  Very excited!

They made that really match the real life spot well!  Wow.  I'm looking at those tall buildings, and they look the same!

Honestly, I didn’t expect to find a collage with Greta and Truck after a couple seconds in Google ;D.

Also, the cracks in pavement look exactly like the typical ATS cracks — SCS map team don’t even have to make new ones.

Found them!!!

So I was thinking the other day.  We know the Russia DLC is coming... but we don't really know the exact region they are going to create?  I am sure Moscow will be in it, but to what extent will they go into Russia?  How far north?  How far east?  How far south and will it connect to other countries they've already made in eastern Europe?

So here is what I am thinking.  This DLC is supposed to be about Russia's Heartland. So putting that into consideration, this DLC will be one of the largest for ETS2 no matter what.  But how far into Russia's heartland will it go?  It is doubtful they will include much around Ukraine and the Crimean region.  It is doubtful they will go too far north (but I wish they would, imagine going to the dirty and industrial port cities of Murmansk or Arkhangelsk.

So below I pose three prospective ideas for the land area they will include.  In all three, I don't they will go that far east of Moscow as there really isn't much east except countryside and small villages and summer homes. They grey spot for all of these maps is the border with Belarus, which does not exist with ETS2. A part of me thinks the map will just be from roughly the northern tip of Belarus's border, east to Moscow, and not including anything south that connects with Ukraine.  But this would also make a weird portion of the map with limited connects.  So I think they will connect to Ukraine, which may be a future map DLC someday.

This one looks small, but it's already quite big.

I got way too excited and I know this is way too big.  But going north and expanding your road connections with Finland would be neat.

This one looks more reasonable if they add Ukraine someday. It stops at roughly the Volga River and allows for further explanation of rural countryside.

So what do you all think?

Nice maps, but I think it will be much smaller than your proposals you showed.  It will be more like the one you explained, probably similar to this.

There is no info about Ukraine and Belarus, so probably the next DLC will go southeast from 2018 expansion lands. Therefore, as the information from game-related forums says, the region where SCS activity was spotted is already as big as Iberia, although its northern part doesn’t have much of highways:
I see some city is really dominating over everything else ;D, so if you need to go from (for example) Ryazan to Vladimir, you will either drive 90-70-90-70 km/h (like in Baltic or Poland!) on the narrow road with a really scary and dangerous shoulder:

So based on all those, it will be a mix of them. ;D   Silver might have the northern boundary right, MasterX has the eastern boundary correct, and Timmelon has Ryazan included correctly!

Does anyone think they would include Novograd?  Is that on the Europe side?  Where does Asia officially start?  Lol?  Could they sneak in Yaroslav?

In Russia, there is a monument separating Europe and Asia in Pervouralsk. I personally think that is too far east to designate Europe. In reality, there is no real distinction geographically.
