I will admit, I rarely if ever stop at truck stops other than to get fuel.  It's nice they care about these details, and I guess it's important to a trucking game, but it isn't what I wait for in blog posts. ;D

So they've now had a blog post for 1 out of 2 days.  50% so far in 2026! ;D

I am real excited for the Dakota's.  I like big rural open states.

This time the screenshots are more interesting ;D.
These two locations were made pretty well in 2016 (we have less than one month to the 10th anniversary, by the way), but they needed to have the updated vegetation and rock textures, so I am happy to see that in progress.
Hoover Dam... Ugh, I set up a challenge for not playing F:NV for at least half of the year, but these reminders may lead me to failing this ::).

WOW!  WOW!!! I am impressed.  Grand Canyon looks amazing.  I am curious if there is actually a real road there like that?

Looks real good.  Don't think they changed the Grand Canyon textures though.

Let’s wait for the final version ;D.
At least, the hills and parkings around Hoover Dam are different from that we currently have in the game. Still, no famous inclined power line towers.

Why? In you-know-what game they are present ;D.

UPD:
The screenshots taken in the city of a flat state are not as impressive as something with mountains on the background ;D.

Well, GTA San Andreas, of course ;D.

As for Fallout: New Vegas, you can find the screenshots with these towers:

But, they aren’t there in the «clean» version of the game. I just did a quick check — nope, the closest power line towers are near Boulder City, and the viewpoint shown on this picture does’t have any. So, looks like this screenshot is made in some modded version.

Thanks! I had no idea.  I never thought about power lines in games before. ;D  Nor in real life much either.

We are leaving a lot of the flat states now and entering a more diverse area of geography which is nice.  The Route 66 rework is looking good so far.

I am sure they will make an achievement to drive the full route from California to Illinois.

NEW GAME: Truck Simulator 2026: USA

New game with a very similar name to the top trucking sim game.  Meet TRUCK SIMULATOR 2026: USA made by Kiwi Production Ltd, a UK based company. And..... it looks REALLY bad.  This trailer shows no gameplay and it looks terrible through and through.  I love how their 'map' has Washington bordering Arizona and Colorado.  All we see are highways. Generic, repeated terrain and trees, highways simply placed on basic maps. Obviously none of this is real of what the game actually is. There might not even be a game for all we know! Terrible debut trailer.
