I am curious about this physics issue.  But until they can solve traffic cones not feeling like hitting a cement barrier and causing 18% damage from a rubber cone, I don't know what to think.

I've always felt the softer suspension trucks in Euro Truck and moveable cabs felt quite tossable in a good way.  The trucks in ATS are very rigid and stiff. Overall a great in-depth blog post!  ^b-

Should make for better feel on rough roads.  Right now you can see divers, cracks, and elevation changes on roads and it always just feels pretty flat.

The marathon with 1.58 announcements is still on ;D. The developers are definitely following the trends set by interface modders.

1.58 looks like it will be game engine update heavy.

OK, now it’s clear they needed to dump all the posts about this update so fast because the beta test begins earlier than expected ;D.
The map says we have about a half of Arizona updated (goodbye, Holbrook ;D) plus part of I-40 up to Tucumcari. I think more of New Mexico will be reworked in the upcoming patches.
As for the other features, I will wait for the full release.

Wow.  A beta already?  Must be a smaller update between bigger updates?

Better visit Holbrook when we can.  It was so out of date though.  I think it was a random exit with a Walbert and no other details of a town.

They added Lake Havasu!!! Wow!!! That's a weird place.  Very weird if you've never looked into it. There is ZERO organization of a town there. '

Is Winslow new as well?

Also, before 1.35, there was a very easy-to access filling station ;D.

Is Winslow new as well?
Yes, I think it’s the same story as with Hornbrook in CA — they removed it, adding nearby Hilt at the same time.

I read the blog post.  There is A LOT of new map changes.  Wow.  They did half of Arizona and a good chunk of New Mexico.  Very cool.  Excited to visit and see the new garages and physics.

Not sure why the blog post comments are mostly negative. :(

Lol! I guess I forgot to post, but I've been here looking around. Probably my longest streak without posting and I am not proud of that.  My bad.

Yeah, they slammed all the beta posts last minute there. ;D  Lol! I am real curious about the new physics and very excited for the map and garages. :D I hope they can eventually add some customization of the garages.

Spoiled brats and some of the ETS2 players masquerading as angry ATS players.  No one is ever happy. I mean got-dang all these updates are free. What are they expecting then? This is a ton of stuff for free every few months!

Winslow, Arizona-- the town the Eagles made famous.

Lake Havasu City is a resort town perhaps most famous for being showcased on MTV's Spring Break.  Older PSF'ers like myself probably remember watching that show thirty years ago and leering at all the bikini babes--back when they actually had music on that channel, and lesbians on TV shows was considered a novelty.   ::|
